Coal & Allied Send Hundreds of Students Outward Bound
More than 100 students from schools across the Hunter were sponsored by Coal & Allied to embark an Outward Bound Adventure in the Kyogle State Forrest in June.
Year nine students from Scone High School, Muswellbrook High School, Singleton High School, St Joseph’s All Saints College, Maitland High School, Francis Greenway High School and St Peters All Saints College took part in the unique week long adventure.
Coal & Allied are long time supporters of community growth in the Hunter region. They have committed more than $3 million over the last two years towards programs that provide a long lasting benefit to the wider community.

First Outward Bounders reconnect after more than 50 years
It really is true what they say, 'Once an Outward Bounder, always an Outward Bounder!'
It has been a lifetime since the first group of Outward Bounders pulled on their boots, packed their bags and set off to explore the Narrabeen region of New South Wales back in 1956. Full of determination, the 45 young participants embarked on a month long journey, pushing themselves beyond their self imposed limits.

Young Leaders Head to Outward Bound
In April and May, Outward Bound held two of the country's premiere national youth leadership summits. The Rabobank Young Rural Leaders Summit was held in April and the National Aspiring Leaders Summit was held in May.
They were not the typical leadership summits. They were designed to put participants through a series of challenging situations to test their leadership and teamwork skills and to help them develep the resiliance and self confidence they need to become great leaders.

National Aspiring Leaders Summit 2010 Delegates Announced
Outward Bound would like to congratulate the following people who have been chosen to attend the National Aspiring Leaders Summit for 2010. The delegates will head to National Base in May for a seven day experience to help them develop skills they can use to make a positive difference in the community.
Held in partnership with The Smith Family, this is the fourth year we have hosted the summit. It is fast becoming one of Australia's premiere youth leadership events. We hope the delegates are as excited as we are.
