First Outward Bounders reconnect after more than 50 years
It really is true what they say, 'Once an Outward Bounder, always an Outward Bounder!'
It has been a lifetime since the first group of Outward Bounders pulled on their boots, packed their bags and set off to explore the Narrabeen region of New South Wales back in 1956. Full of determination, the 45 young participants embarked on a month long journey, pushing themselves beyond their self imposed limits.

Over 50 years later, using the skills they learned on course and working from an old list of names and contact details, several of the first Outward Bounders have now located more than 30 people from their original group. The group of first Outward Bounders are hoping to reunite later this year.
Outward Bound Australia is desperate to reconnect with all alumni and is inspired by what the first group of Outward Bounders have achieved. If you would like to update you contact details, receive news from Outward Bound or would like to help us to locate previous Outward Bound alumni,we would like to hear from you.
